House Opera — the debut concept album by electronic artist cnc, based in Zadar, Croatia — is set for release in 2026 via the groundbreaking platform Album Theater (album.theater). Eighteen tracks. Eighteen different vocalists. Three acts. One sonic world that refuses to stay within the boundaries of any single genre.
Before the album has even arrived, it is already making itself heard. The track “Another Day in the Booth” — the opening movement of House Opera’s first act — has advanced to the semifinal round of the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) 2025, one of the most prestigious and competitive songwriting platforms in the world.
A Three-Act Journey Through Sound and Self
House Opera is structured as an opera in the truest sense — three acts tracing a protagonist’s passage from awakening to revolution, set against the pulsing backdrop of a city that never sleeps. Drawing from deep house, UK garage, techno, trance, and bass house, the album moves between club floors and concert halls, between the intimate and the epic.
Act I opens with the sleepless metropolis. Act II descends into love, betrayal, and the seduction of the synthetic. Act III rises toward collective liberation — a dancefloor revolution, a search for the perfect beat, a final note of hard-won unity.

A Truly Global Cast of Voices
True to its operatic ambitions, House Opera brings together vocalists from across the globe. Confirmed performers already represent Argentina, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Colombia, and Germany — with further collaborations still being announced. From the Adriatic coast of Croatia to Buenos Aires, Warsaw, Kyiv, Rome, Bogotá, and Berlin, the album speaks in many voices, but tells one story.
A Visual World in the Making
The sonic universe of House Opera is soon to find its visual counterpart. A music video for “Another Day in the Booth” is currently in pre-production, with the project entrusted to director Maja Šimić and videographer Dorijan Dukić. The collaboration promises a visual language as layered and intentional as the music itself.

The ISC is widely regarded as one of the most credible and competitive songwriting contests in the world, attracting tens of thousands of entries annually from over 150 countries.
